Mark Thelwell
Managing Director
Mark joined IRESS in 2011 to lead the UK Wealth Management division. Mark founded AT8 Group with Mark Loosmore and Nigel Smith in 2006, an e-commerce consulting company specialising in financial services.
Mark has 28 years experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry, holding management roles in Sales & Marketing, Compliance and IT. Notably, Mark managed the merger between AXA and Sun Life, and was COO at Focus Solutions Group, helping to float the company on the LSE with an AIM listing.

Mark Loosmore
Business Development Director
Mark has a successful track-record of business development in the IT and the Financial Services market, including helping both NCR and AT&T to establish themselves as key technology suppliers to the Insurance sector. In his role as Business Development Director for Focus Solutions Group, he led the company’s growth – developing and launching new market propositions that resulted in a twenty-fold increase in revenue.
Mark joined IRESS in November 2011 as part of the commencing executive team to build the UK Wealth management division. He contributes regular columns to the Professional Adviser and IFA Online.

Nigel Smith
General Manager, Operations
Nigel has over 35 years’ experience in Financial Services. Having started his career with AXA Equity & Law, he was instrumental in the creation of e-commerce services for the life assurance industry and represented his company’s interests on various industry bodies, including Origo.
Nigel moved to The Exchange (now part of Avelo) in order to lead the development of their ExWeb B2B service. He subsequently joined Logica as a Senior Management Consultant in their Financial Services practice, and then moved to Focus Solutions Group as the Director of Propositions.
Nigel joined IRESS as part of the commencing executive team to build the UK Wealth management division in November 2011.

Andrew Walsh
Managing Director (IRESS Group)
Based in Australia, Andrew took the role of Managing Director in October 2009, after seven years as General Manager of the IRESS Wealth Management division, overseeing the growth and direction of our wealth management business in Australia and internationally.
Andrew founded XPLAN Technology (XPLAN), and from 2003 managed the transition of XPLAN from an independent organisation to a fully integrated division of IRESS Market Technology. Prior to IRESS, Andrew worked extensively in the actuarial, financial planning, and technology industries.

Stuart Bland
Chief Financial Officer
Stuart joined IRESS in 2001. Prior to this, he held a number of senior management positions in a range of industries including telecommunications, biotechnology and the wine industry. These senior roles were commercial, financial and M&A focussed. Previous to this, Stuart worked at Coopers & Lybrand for nine years, primarily in their corporate advisory area.

Peter Ferguson
Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Peter joined IRESS in June 2011. He has many years' experience in international legal and commercial appointments in the financial technology sector, with prior international and domestic appointments including seven years with Nasdaq OMX, located in Stockholm and later Sydney, GBST and SIRCA.

David Walker
Chief Technical Officer
David is responsible for the management of the software development team, network and systems architecture groups. He plays a key role in the design and continued evolution of IRESS Market Technology's software architecture and technical direction.
David worked for IRESS Market Technology between January 1995 and August 1996, developing the first release of the IRESS product. He briefly moved to Tracker Software in August 1996 where he worked on the redevelopment of its contract management software before returning to IRESS Market Technology in April 1997.
